A christmassy weekend with Jules

In early December, I was very lucky because the lovely Jules came to see me in London for five whole days. Here's a compilation of some great things we did on this colorful weekend.

How should such a London weekend start otherwise than by Jules' and my obligatory Thames tour starting at the Tower Bridge.

River Thames and the Shard

Cuuuteee!
Christmas decorations make Covent Garden even MORE BEAUTIFUL!!!
First mulled wine of the year, first mulled wine in London

And we obviously also couldn't miss Notting Hill on this weekend. But at first, we had to get some provisions for our journey at Jamie Oliver's RECIPEASE at Notting Hill Gate...

Found the book from my favourite J.O. TV Series which Santa gave me this year for Christmas. Lucky me ;-)
So hard to chooose!

We finally went for some sneaky little italian Focaccia
And because it was the first Sunday in Advent we also got some Red Velvet Cupcakes from the famous Hummingbird Bakery on Portobello Road
Couldn't get a glittery one like this :-(
Not the cheapest of cupcakes ;-)
When in Notting Hill: definitely make a picture in front of "the house with the blue door"

After Jules did some sightseeing on her own for the next couple of days, we've saved something very special for our last evening together: visiting Jamie Olivers restaurant "Jamie's Italian" in Covent Garden.

...in love...

Cheers!

Yay...

And after this really great dinner I also got a beautiful gift from Jules. A fantastically beautifully hardcover edition of "Alice in Wonderland" with numerous original illustrations. And the whole evening was perfected when we got the chance to have a tiny little chat with two of my favourive Blogging Ladies Anna from viviannadoesmakeup.com and Lily from lilypebbles.co.uk. at their Kiehls Blogger Event. Yay ...

Thank you very much for reading and special thanks to Jules for visiting me and being a very good friend! :-*

Have a lovely day everyone!

  2. I'm so jealous that you got to go to the Kiehl's event to meet Lily and Anna. I applied, but apparently it was sold out already :(

    1. I couldn't get any tickets either, but we just had our lovely dinner at Jamie's Italian which is literally just around the corner and then we just tried and stopped by afterwards and we were very lucky that these lovely ladies had some time left for another quick chat :-)

I really like your blog by the way, Antonia. I hope you had a nice holiday in Austria. Saw the packing drama on your instagram :-D
